Cowboy Jesus – Podcast Conversation

My sister Lynn plays bass sometimes at Columbine United Methodist Church in Littleton, CO. Its pastor, Rev. Steve Poos-Benson, recently invited me onto his podcast, “Cowboy Jesus.” He wanted to discuss, inter alia, the role of congregations in working for and defending progressive change. Our short conversation ended up encompassing immigration and sanctuary, the war in Gaza, theology and the Divine Feminine, and a tour of American Jewish denominational history. Enjoy!

PS. Ner Shalom is, of course, in Cotati, California. But I misled Rev. Steve by saying I was in Santa Rosa, because I was zooming from home!

PPS. San Francisco friends, don’t forget the book reading and conversation with Jim Van Buskirk at the San Francisco Public Library James Hormel Center. This Wednesday, May 28th, at 5:45 PM!
